On Lincoln’s Birthday, NAACP Continues Promoting Abortion

by Ryan Bomberger | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 2/12/13 8:07 PM

Today marks the birth of one of the most remarkable individuals in American history. Abraham Lincoln, born into poverty, lived a life of greatness that is too often reduced in its significance in today’s popular culture. The Great Emancipator’s words and actions were the catalyst for millions to be able live out their God-given Purpose, eventually freed from the shackles of slavery and inexplicable human degradation.
Today is also the birthday of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), which formed on this day February 12, 1909.  But unlike Lincoln, whose worldview was shaped by the great abolitionist Frederick Douglass (a slave born of rape but a man defined by limitless possibility), the NAACP has allowed itself to be shaped by an ideology that seeks control, conformity, and confusion as it advocates the destruction of beautiful Possibility every day.
Recently, the NAACP has threatened to sue LifeNews, me and the organization I co-founded, The Radiance Foundation. In numerous writing for news and blog websites, including my own, we’ve merely described the “civil rights” group for what it is—a pro-abortion advocate. More specifically, the NAACP has threatened to sue us for “trademark infringement” because we dared to call them the “National Association for the Abortion of Colored People.”
That’s exactly who they’ve shown themselves to be.
The NAACP has proudly proclaimed it’s pro-abortion position since 2004, where they passed a resolution undeniably declaring their ironic support of abortion. In their document “Health Policies and Resolutions: 1992-2003” they oddly refer to the NARAL/Planned Parenthood “March Against Fear” (later renamed the “March for Women’s Lives”) as the March for Life. On page 41, they claim: “More than eight decades ago, the NAACP’s most distinguished founder, Dr. W.E.B. DuBois understood that making birth control available to poor women helped them gain control over their lives.”
Abortion is control—population control. And today, the black population in America has only experienced more poverty, exponentially higher STDs, increasing “unintended pregnancies”, epidemic fatherlessness (72.3%), and abortions of 40% of black pregnancies nationwide. As we reveal in our TooManyAborted.com campaigns, black babies are aborted up to 6 times the rate of the majority population such as in NYC where more black babies are aborted than are born alive. DuBois considered these lives “unfit” as he aligned himself with the Negro Project and Margaret Sanger, who was not on a benevolent crusade to rescue the black community from poverty.
Dr. DuBois wrote some of the most repugnant remarks about poorer blacks in Sanger’s Birth Control Review. He wrote in a 1932 article entitled: “Black Folks and Birth Control” (h/t Life Dynamics) that: “…the mass of ignorant Negroes still breed carelessly and disastrously, so that the increase among Negroes, even more than the increase among whites, is from that part of the population least intelligent and fit, and least able to rear their children properly. They must learn that among human races and groups, as among vegetables, quality and not mere quantity, really counts.”
There’s nothing quite like comparing the lives of human beings with produce. This detachment with reality continues to run in the NAACP’s veins.
The organization regularly engages in historical revision. It’s no wonder they fail to mention that they angrily parted ways with W.E.B. DuBois, in 1934, because of his duplicitous radical ideology. At times a man of tremendous insight and inspiration, DuBois’ positions on issues were in direct conflict with the NAACP, especially his advocacy of segregation. Praising murderous regimes like the Soviet Union and China, he became a communist, renounced his American citizenship, praised Stalin (who murdered millions in his Purges) in his unretracted infamous obituary, and became a citizen of Ghana in 1961. He died two years later.

Birmingham Abortion Facility Again Denied Liense to Reopen

Birmingham abortion facility again denied license to reopen
BIRMINGHAM, February 15, 2013, (Operation Rescue) – Efforts to license and reopen the New Woman All Women abortion clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, which was closed for numerous health and safety violations last year after pro-life groups reported it to the authorities, have been denied for the second time.
Allison Aranda of Life Legal Defense Foundation, informed Operation Rescue, CEC for Life, and other pro-life groups this week that an application for clinic licensure submitted by Kelly Rain-Water was denied by the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) after Rain-Water missed a January deadline for submission of additional documents.
Diane Derzis.
The abortion clinic was forced to close after pro-life activists documented two abortion patients being hand-carried by emergency workers down broken back steps to gurneys waiting in a trash-strewn alley on January 21, 2012, and filed complaints with the ADPH. An inspection by health authorities uncovered 76 pages of violations. They also learned that an additional woman was hospitalized the same day.

Steve Jobs: "I'm Glad I Didn't End up as an Abortion."

Steve Jobs: ‘I’m glad I didn’t end up as an abortion’
November 24, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Since Steve Jobs’ death in October, numerous pro-life commentators have linked the fact that Jobs was adopted to the issue of abortion – pointing out how different the world would be if Jobs’ birth mother had simply chosen to abort her unwanted pregnancy.
But it turns out that pro-life groups weren’t the only ones to make the connection: Jobs himself did.
In the new authoritative biography of Jobs, biographer Walter Isaacson reveals how Jobs set out to find his birth mother in the early 80s, even hiring a private detective for the task.
While his first efforts to find his mother failed, Jobs persisted, particularly after his adoptive mother passed away in the mid 80s.
Jobs explained to Isaacson why he was so determined to find his biological mother:
“I wanted to meet [her] mostly to see if she was OK and to thank her, because I’m glad I didn’t end up as an abortion,” he said. “She was 23 and she went through a lot to have me.”

Abortion, 40 Years is Long Enough

From the website Abort73.com this powerful video regarding the 40th anniversary of Roe vs Wade.

One-Third of a Generation Gone in 40 Years

January 22, 2013 marked the 40th anniversary of perhaps the most egregious death sentence ever handed over by any court in history. The sentence is even more horrible because it was unborn children being rendered disposable. This week's Right to Life march in Washington DC on the steps of the Supreme Court was attended by hundreds of thousands of Americans standing up for the rights of the unborn. A record number of young people attended this march, standing in testimony to those who for 40 years have had no voice outside those who believe life begins at conception.  Doug Patton from The Cagle Post wrote an article about the anniversary of Roe vs Wade entitled "One-Third of a Generation Gone in 40 Years" which brings home saliently the stark number of a generation lost to abortion. In the article, he writes:

A little more than a month ago, 20 innocent children were savagely and senselessly slaughtered in their classroom at the Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, a fact now being used by an opportunistic president to further his agenda. That same day, 150 times that many innocent children were savagely and senselessly slaughtered in America’s abortion mills.
The next day, the same thing happened. And the day after that. And the day after that.
It’s been going on for 40 years now.
On January 22, 1973, my wife had been carrying the first of our two sons for three months when seven men in black robes handed down the most notorious Supreme Court ruling since Dred Scott. Consequently, our sons have grown to manhood in a country that has never protected its innocent unborn children. They have come of age with the knowledge that it is a crime to kill certain “endangered species” of animals, while realizing that one-third of their generation has been legally aborted before having the opportunity to draw breath.
America’s callous attitude toward the unborn is due in part to the overwhelming quantity of tiny corpses, now in the neighborhood of 50 million. For the last 40 years, they have been poked, poisoned and pulverized to death in the name of “choice.” As Soviet butcher Joseph Stalin is reputed to have said, “The death of a hundred people is a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistic.” This is so because, as human beings, we cannot wrap our minds around the enormity of the evil involved in such numbers.
Killing the innocent is wrong. We all know this intuitively. The events of September 11, 2001, are seared into our consciousness because of the heinous nature of the crimes and the horrendous loss of life. Yet we turn a blind eye to the methodical and deliberate killing of that many human beings every single day at the hands of “doctors.”

The Mainstream Media, not surprisingly, failed to cover this event. Still, each day, all across the United States, in all kinds of weather, every day of the week, Americans will stand as witness outside abortion clinics, most prominently Planned Parenthood, and bear witness for life. Like those who marched in Washington, DC, we who stand for life will let nothing stop us. We are a growing army.  Silent no more.

Obama lies about Planned Parenthood Doing Mammograms

Caught on tape, did he really not know the truth, or was he just too lazy to find out. Or did he know the truth and just out and out lie? While speaking to the White House Forum on Women and the Economy, President Obama falsely claimed that Planned Parenthood provides "preventive care, like mammograms, that millions of women rely on." The Susan B. Komen Foundation originally stated it would defund and stop supporting Planned Parenthood after finding out that they, indeed, had never performed a single mammogram in their history. However, several days later, they reversed that decision, saying that they would continue to fund existing grants, but would be rewriting grants specifically stating "We will amend the criteria to make clear that disqualifying investigations must be criminal and conclusive in nature and not political. That is what is right and fair.”

“We will continue to fund existing grants, including those of Planned Parenthood, and preserve their eligibility to apply for future grants, while maintaining the ability of our affiliates to make funding decisions that meet the needs of their communities,” the statement continues.

The Washington Post February 3, 2012, wrote: Questions remained on several other reasons given by Komen about why it decided to defund Planned Parenthood. As Lena H.Sun, Sarah Kliff and N.C. Aizenman explained:

Executives of the Susan G. Komen Foundation gave a new explanation Thursday of their decision to cut funding to Planned Parenthood, but their contradictory statements failed to quell a rising controversy that led several of the organization’s affiliates to openly rebel.

Komen had said the decision was the result of newly adopted criteria barring grants to organizations under investigation — affecting Planned Parenthood because of an inquiry by a Republican congressman.

On Thursday, Komen President Elizabeth Thompson told reporters that the funding decision was unrelated to the investigation into whether Planned Parenthood was illegally using federal funds to pay for abortions.

Komen founder Nancy Brinker said the organization wants to support groups that directly provide breast health services, such as mammograms. She noted that Planned Parenthood was providing only mammogram referrals.

The controversy raged across social media, with thousands of messages posted to Komen and Planned Parenthood Facebook pages and advocates on both sides rallying support on Twitter.

Some see the Komen debate as a warning sign to President Obama that he may face pressure from pro-choice advocates. As Rachel Weiner reported:

On Friday morning, the Susan B. Komen Foundation backed down from its decision to pull grants from Planned Parenthood.

More than 10,000 people donated to the family planning group in some way, according to President Cecile Richards. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg pledged a $250,000 matching gift to the group.

While the foundation gave itself room to reject future grant applications from Planned Parenthood, the decision is a clear sign that outrage from pro-choice supporters left Komen spooked.

Should Obama be spooked too?

The president angered many pro-choice constituents with his decision to keep the emergency contraceptive Plan B off drugstore shelves.

More recently, Obama sided with women’s groups over Catholic bishops, refusing to exempt church-affiliated employers from covering birth control.

Of course, there are major differences here. Komen’s constituency is made up of people for whom women’s health issues are a primary concern. Obama’s constituency is much broader — in rejecting Catholic calls for a birth-control exemption, some argue he risks losing liberal Catholic support.

In 2008, 70.4 million women voted — 10 million more women than men. Obama won women by 13 points. In 2010 House race, women were evenly split.

While abortion is not a make-or-break issue for most female voters, access to contraception could prove more potent.

Abortion clinic sign: “Use deadly force only if necessary” - Jill Stanek

Sometimes, when we are really really lucky, the proabortion side shows its true colors. We could not have asked for a better representation than this foul-mouthed, Godless, uneducated, loud, and unkempt example of the face of the baby killers.

Missing Faces at Fingerpainting Time

Yesterday I bought my great-granddaughter a set of fingerpaints. She will be 2 next month. I simply adore her. I remember how my children and grandchildren loved to fingerpaint. I found myself thinking, as I was taking pictures, of the missing faces of grandchildren I would never be able to teach or enjoy the simple childhood pleasures. Those were the faces of the children my two daughters had aborted. I did not know at the time how this would affect me in the future. I did not support their choices, but they did not seek my advice. Through the years, it has been a subject never talked about. But I do think about it from time to time and the older I get, the more I think about missing faces and opportunities. As I write this, the almost 2-year-old paints quietly and intently in the kitchen, her pictures all spread out, the prerequisite handprint with the date set aside to be framed later. Still I am haunted by the little hands I never got to imprint, the little lives never brought to term, and I am saddened beyond words at the loss. And I wonder if there are others out there who feel the same sense of loss at the missing faces.

Tim Tebow Responds to Criticism about the Superbowl Ad Controversy

Hang tough, Tim. You know you are doing the right thing. Remember that Christ said "If they hate you, remember, they hated me first."

We could use more Tim Tebows in this world.

Planned Parenthood Makes an Ad to Counter Tebow Ad

Gentleman, with all due respect, you are both African-American and absolutely must educate yourselves about the racism that started Planned Parenthood and continues to this day. I have posted about this countless times on this blog. Many in the African-American community are just now coming to realize, through the writings of Margaret Sanger, that the founder of Planned Parenthood was a full-blown racist and anti-Semite whose goal was extermination of peoples she referred to as "weeds." The proabortion crowd is running scared and I have to say, this ad is weak in every respect.

Everyone Against Abortion, Raise Your Hand

The spot above was put together by Priests for Life. Rejected by all networks in the United States, it has just been accepted to be aired in Canada. The image of the video is stunning. The perfectly formed hand and arm of a 28-week-old fetus. With our technology, this young boy could have lived outside the womb. His name was David and he is one of the faces of abortion. The images are hard to view. All abortion images are. They speak to most of us in our hearts and minds. They make us cry and they make us angry. We pray and we shout. We do our best to see that children such as this little boy are born and given a chance at life. Yet there are those in this society who do not see this child as a living human being. They do not watch these videos. They do not read Bernard Nathanson or any other book on the truth about abortion. They turn their eyes and mind and hearts from the pictures of the pro-life protestors and they rail against those protesting. To them, it has become imperative to dehumanize abortion in order to tolerate it.

Megyn Kelly Destroys Gloria Allred Over Tim Tebow Ad

What exactly is the proabortion crowd so afraid of? To hear them shriek, this small ad at Superbowl is going to take away a woman's right to choose whether or not to kill her own baby in the womb. Gloria Allred wants the "whole story" told. That would have been nice back in the day when Roe v Wade was being passed into our forever horrified consciousness. The truth would have been nice. Bernard Nathanson wrote that at the time he was involved in inflating the numbers of deaths from illegal abortions. Though he had an epiphany regarding abortion when the advent of ultrasound allowed him to witness, first hand, a fetus being torn apart in the womb, the proabortion crowd is still using the boogey man tactic of deaths from illegal abortions. Jim Daly counters Ms. Allred with the fact that abortion was legal in the Philippines at the time and can be easily researched. The proabortion crowd is frothing at the mouth and striking out like the mad dog that they are. Megyn Kelly does a fine job here with Ms. Allred. I especially like her comment when she asks Ms. Allred that isn't the right to free speech more speech, not less. Ms. Allred just doesn't have a chance against Megyn. BTW, Megyn just got back from four month maternity leave and is looking lovely as ever.
